Meet the Owner: Phet Chittabouppha
Phet has a story of passion, perseverance, and craftsmanship.
Originally from Laos, she began her tailoring journey in middle school, only using a pedal-powered sewing machine. While she initially found it difficult, her love for the craft grew, and she decided to attend sewing school to learn more skills about the art of garment-making.
In 2004, Phet immigrated to America and continued her tailoring career. She gained even more experience working for a local alteration shop, Men’s Warehouse, and Joseph A. Bank Menswear.
She has nearly 19 years of sewing and tailoring under her belt!
In 2016, Phet took over Alteration Shop LLC in Mount Juliet, TN, making it her own. Though she has extensive experience with menswear, her true passion lies in working on formal attire, especially wedding gowns, evening dresses and men’s suit jackets.
Now a wife and a mother of two boys while being a business owner, Phet combines her dedication to her craft with her love for helping clients feel their best for life’s special moments. Her attention to detail and expert tailoring have made her shop a trusted name in the community.
